no warming. just axis tilt. it happens. if your pised move to everest or europe. fukk go to siberia, build a huge hill and put a ton of jibs around it. there you go, east coast. HAHA nahnah the east is dope. but there is no such thing as global warming, maybe just some blow off from god hotboxing...
no, im just saying, when the axis tilts the climate is bound to change. greehouse is pretty gnarly but not the real cause for no snow. also it is el nino.
The earth doesn't flip, the axis of which it rotates on changes by a degree or something, vastly altering the earth's tempatures.
But Im pretty sure it has to do with Ozone and changing ocean currents. The ozone depletion raises tempatures, which melts polar ice caps. When there is extra cold water being mixed into the oceans at a rapid rate, it changes ocean currents, and ocean currents determine our climate. So I think what will happen is the global climate will change, but as projected america will get warmer and europe will get colder.
Yes, but with the way that CO2 levels are rising on this planet, there is no way in hell that the temps are going to benifit snow.. especially being 2005 was the hottest year on record.. worldwide...
not to mention, all the glaciers are melting, and greenland and antarctica are shrinking vastly...
yes the greenhouse effect is obviouslly contributing to global warming but he is also saying another valid theory saying that axis tilt (which can alter climate over time) may be contributing to some of the effects we see from global warming
yes but hey you just gotta get to the right places. i'm sittin here in southeast ak with four feet of snow on the ground and a resort base of more than three times the average. skiing waist deep light pow into april.. what a concept.
obviously no one has ever seen al gore's "An Inconvieniant Truth" I suggest to rent on netflix or something because it really grabs your attention with all the scientific facts that he lays down through the course of the movie. Pretty mindblowing to tell ya the truth, really makes you think about the impact you have on nature and all that.
I'm interested to see your evidence for such a claim. I can bring up lots of journals and papers on how the increase in temperatures over the last 50 years is mostly attributable to human activities.
global warming greenhouse gasses bush liberals end of the world melting polar caps world cooling...sorry i got all heated up but didnt know which side i was on.
all i am saying is that they all thought the earth was cooling. now they all think the earth is warming....could it both be wrong...could it both be right. i am not saying it is or isn't heating or even cooling all i am saying is that people are stupid when it comes to this and don't think just react cuz some one said this or that is happening but don't take the time to look into things.
oh and it says THEORY as well not truth or fact its all theoretical. i see global warming as a scam to clean up the earth when you don't need a scam its something we should pay attention too cuz clean air is way better then smog and clean water is better then sludge.
And while I think its shameful that some people have used this issue as a political tool, or even worse, as a means for personal profit, it is a real and present issue. Underlying message - clean your shit up.
yea the point is that everyone US, Canada, India, china, everyone needs to do as much as the can to clean shit up. but then arises the problem of 3rd world industrial countries like India. India is too poor to give a crap about pollution so what are they supposed to do really? i don't know the answer really but its something to think about for sure.

Right now, Western Europe, the United States and Russia account for about 70% of all the greenhouse gas emissions. We need to clean up our acts before addressing other developing nations.
the world was warmer 1000 years ago than it is now
i think that we are partially to blame but the world has always heated and cooled and we are not the only cause of greenhouse gases. i mean think about before man if there were a drought and a forest fire caught it could burn for miles and mile causing a ton of c02 and volcanoes spew way more of that shit than we could of ever made
Yes, but let me point out an interesting fact on this. We've almost depleted the fossil fuel on our planet. This has taken millions of years to accumulate from billions upon billions of organisms. We've suddenly released most of that into our atmosphere.
Yes, greenhouse gas levels do fluctuate, and yes, the world warms and cools in cycles. But what we've observed is not part of a cycle. Changes like we're seeing have never happened at the rate we've observed, ever. We have no idea what happens when you change the climate so fast. But if biological standards can be applied to the entire Earth, sudden changes are bad news.
al gore is a fucking hipocrit he asks us all to stop consuming so much energy but his electric bill is about 20 times that of the average american home.
He claims he invented the internet hes a cock sucker
it switches back and forth every 40,000 years
it changes the seasons, so like, summers would get hotter, winters would get colder... i think... i dunno
So don't listen to Al Gore if you're for Bush's government or whatever.
Still, we need to do something about Global Warming, cuz our kids or even we might not be able to ski pretty soon.
the fact is that we've only really recorded weather for about 1% of the time that the earth has been around. how is a small piece of evidence like that enough to assume that the recent warming trends are any more than that, trends. Its like surveying 10 people for a poll and assuming that it represents the entire population. oh and for the people saying we should just move to europe, tell me if im wrong but arent they getting shafted this winter too??
We actually have a very good idea of the past earths climate and atmosphere. Ice cores from Greenland and the Antarctic contain gas bubbles that were trapped when the sheets were made, and by sampling these gases, we've discovered what was in the air hundreds of millions of years ago. So, yes, we do actually know what the Earth was like millions of years ago, and do have a fairly accurate, if broad, average global temperature that we can look at to compare what we see now to.
Thank you. bfnradford's 1% of Earth's climate crap came straight from his asshole. And I can't even comment on the rest of the ignorance in this thread....so i'll just pretend it doesn't exist.
