Salomon Helmet Question

For anyone who has bought a Salomon helmet, do they come with extra padding to make the helmet a bit smaller? If so, is the quoted helmet size before or after the extra padding? I am ordering a helmet online and don't want to end up with something too small but I don't want something huge either.

i got the foil helmet and it fits tighter front to back than left to right and i dotn think it has any extra padding
