Wrong mounting, on shops part.

so i took my skis into a shop to get them remounted. after i talked to the guy there i looked around for a little and before i left went back to make sure they had the right mount location, he said he was good. went home and called again just to make sure, felt weird about the situation. after going back to the shop to pick up the skis a week later, they were mounted, twice already in the wrong spot. i was told they read the sheet wrong and re-did them, and still being in the wrong spot, so then they went and remounted them in the right spot. that a total of 4 sets of holes. they say they are not responsible, but said to ski them and see how they feel. anyone who works at a shop, can you give me any advice on what you think they should do.

I'm sorry, WHAT?
Your shop mounted your skis, fucked up, mounted them AGAIN, fucked up AGAIN, then remounted them A THIRD TIME? And you TOOK THE SKIS HOME?
I don't even know where to begin with how wrong this entire scenario is.

Haha, thats funny, because almost the same thing happend to me. Except they only remounted mine once, and I told them +4 and they were at 0 when my dad brang them home from the shop. Im really pissed cause its the second second of holes and now they have to get a third set(even though the shop said it would be free). Im concerned, but also curious if a third set of holes would really diminish the quality and riding experience i get from my skis?

if they mounted your skis wrong 4 times, they owe you brand new skis, no questions asked.

that's not as me, i dropped my skis of, told them to mount at true center, and even drew a line on each ski as to where true center was, then i picked them up today to find they were mounted at -8cm from true, fucking rediculous, and to tell you how bad that is, the core center and suggested mounting point of the skis is -6cm from true. these where used once, so now i have to get another (3rd set) of holes in the skis, im so pissed, and i can't have them do it again cause im leaving town tomarrow to go visit my parents.

your skis have allready been drilled 4 times and your going to drill them again? dude thats a rly bad idea they r gunna be very weak. the reason i got new skis is because they were drilled one time and i skiied them for a year then took then to get them mounted for my new boot and they messed up. so i went back bitched about them being weaker and got free skis dont give in man.

did you buy the skis and bindings from that shop? one or the other? Just that if the skis didn't come from them they probly won't replace your skis. IF that is the case... at the VERY least they should have called you to say they mounted them wrong and asked you what you wanted (it should be free right there) but now you need compensating!
that really is completely shit service!

This thread makes me appreciate Jeff and Snowcovers Van. If they fuck up even slightly with ski work you've got new skis. Luckily they never fuck up.
