This is kinda long...
I went to a shop to night. i won't mention which one, but it was a terrible. Went in with my Motherships and my p12s to be mounted, but the first thing i wanted to look this years new skis. All the sales kid would talk about is how my moships are crap cause they're a capped ski, and how i should spend a ton of money on getting a ski with a sidewall. I ignored the comments and went to setup my bindings. The first there was some debate on where i should mount them, and the only tool available was a tape measure with inches. Not really a big deal, but once we got that figured out they reminded me that i should have brought my boots in. They said I would have to drive 54 miles round trip and bring my boots back and leave them there for 2 days. I said oops, can you use a new boot for the jig and then do the torque test with my boots when I come to pick them up and save me 54 miles of driving? They said that they wouldn't have time do do a torque test on a monday or tuesday between 10am and 2pm. Does a torque test really take that long? I mean I'm complaining because it's 54 miles round trip to get there, and I'm willing to hang out in your shop for an hour during the middle of the day and look at shit while you find the time to do the final torque test. The guy said he had to drive 20 miles to work there so I shouldn't complain. Yeah buddy you drive to go work there to give me service. What do you want a cookie? The only reason i go there is for your "great" service, which you obviously can't do. They said that they were to busy with mom's buying Christmas gifts. Well how many times is mom gonna come back next month, cause I sure won't. Last year I bought new expensive boots and a jacket at your shop, and had some skis mounted (which by the way still have lifters on them even though i ordered short screws). If only I could get my skis mounted online, because it's the only place I'm getting anything from now on.
