Im thining about buying new skis for this season, and it wud be good if I could get some feedback on what anyone thinks of Volkl Dogen 07's. I know the TNK is prolly a better ski, but it costs quite a bit more too. Any advice, what do you think of the Dogens

I can't speak for the Dogen but I have Karma's and they are fucking ill. Every Volkl ski I've ever ridden has been awesome, so I'm sure the Dogen's will be too.

I have Dogens from the year before and I love them, they're a great ski for me. If they're not too much changed this year (I've not seen this year's dogen) they should be awesome.

actually don't listent to her.
i know a girl who rides for volkl and knows alot about the ski
the dogen, karma, and kaya are three completely different ski's
the kaya is def not a chick version of the dogen.
the dogen is a sickkkk ski hands down.
get the dogen over the karma if you plan to jib a lot and slide rails.
but the karma if your jumping and skiing pipe more.
anddd ccllearly the kaya if your a chick. (which is actually really stiff and id even ski on it)

I've got Karmas and Dogens. I can say You that Karmas are way way way way better than Dogens. They fucked up Dogens cos they're breaking easily. Sorry not maby breaking but stuff like edges, base etc. are just fucked up. The 2008 dogens will change in 100%. It will be a better ski for sho. If You want to buy Voelkl, buy Karmas they are fuckin sick !!!! Besides it is a really strong ski. The only advantage of the Dogens is that they are preety light and soft.

yeah the kaya's are completely different from the dogen...the kaya are more of an all mountain ski for a girl i believe...they arent very flexy while the dogens are super soft...also last year the dogens had problems with delamination but after changing the type of top sheet it may have helped it..i saw somebody riding the 06/07 dogen this year and he said he really liked the ski..good for everything

yeah the ski is generally good, but if u're riding hard karmas are way better without doubt. I would buy Karmas hehe ;)

yea it took them 8 months or so for them to send my friend a new ski and it came in the dead of summer after he broke his. He had the 06's models. I have skied about 10 days on my 07' dogens and they are sick. Very light and tons of pop. The tails are pretty soft but the noses seems alot stiffer its sorta weird to ski them at first but after a day or two i got used to them and i love them so far.

So what? I sad only the truth, that's something wrong? Generally speaking I mean that Dogens are great skis but u can crash them easily when u're riding really hard. I didn't mean anything bad...

exactly, I know someone hwo went through like two pairs of Dogen's last season. Snapped them both right in half. But i guess he was skiing them very hard, and using them for different purposes. Hucking 40 footers. But for striaght park they'd probably do what they're meant to.

Yeah exacly man, those skis are better for hitting park rails, park kickers for laighter people etc. It's a good ski for the beginners and people who starts doing freeskiing.

yeah but colby is an agressive skier who is going huge kickers and huge rails so he would brake all type of skis even the strongest ones, as I sad Dogens are for laighter people who don't ski agressive
