alright so i am thinkin about gettin a new video camera........its either between the GL2 or GL1..........what are some the big differences between them and is worth spending more on the GL2?.....
any help would be good? Thanks....

just get the gl2.
the gl1's colors and audio arn't as good as the gl2

GL2s are newer and obviously better. They have better sound, even though thats kinda useless cause you dont use sound in skiing.
The overall camera feel and design feels really outdated and corny on the GL1, get the GL2 if anything.

I personally like vx2000 (maybe its vx1200) better, but thats coming from someone with little video camera knowledge.

Sony. Heres a basic rundown:
Sony = Skater style, fisheye look
Panasonic = Film look
Canon = even comprimise between the sony and panasonic

yo our schools have GL2s and they are so sick, they record decent audio and the video quality is amazing. Id go for it

well now dont go saying that the GL2 quality is AMAZING. I was really stoked on it for like half a year, but I outgrew it sooo fast. DVX kills the GL2, yet I highly do not reccomennd it if its your first cam, because you wont be able to use it much more than turning it on.
