Just got my new acl, a couple questions.

Alright, I just got back from the hospital, got my acl replaced and meniscus fixed. Now, I'm looking at 6 months without any real skiing, so I'll probably end up smoking alot. I would've asked my doctor about this, but my mom was always within earshot. Anways, are there any bad reactions between weed and vicodin that anyone knows of? Additionally, I've heard that smoking nugs can slow your recovery time from injuries. Still, I know most skiers smoke mad weed during rehab, and I can't imagine that it'll be that much of a problem. Anyone have any good information about this topic in general?

you will be fine, blaze as you like. the only effect of smoking on vike's is you will get fairly drowsy.

^^Wrong
I used to blaze quite a bit, and have had multiple knee operations - From experience I can tell you that smoking during your recovery is a stupid idea! It may seem like the easy thing to do, and it sure makes you comfy. But knee surgery recovery is an active process and is not that big of a deal.
I hate seeing pussys who act like their life ended because of a knee surgery...sack up, get off the couch, get outside and beat up that leg.
The more active you are, the stronger your body will be and faster your recovery - sitting around losing muscle mass SUCKS and can take a long time to gain back.
A puff here and there is ok, but do not be the guy on the couch, do not sit around blazed all day, your recovery will be longer and your knee will be weaker...
I guess it all comes down to personal vision - do you want to be strong in 6-months or overwieght and soft?

fork up the cash for physiotherapy if its a possibility.
defiantly worth it. it may seem like a waste of time at first, but once you get to the point where you can start pushing yourself it helps a ton
