I used to be a huuuuge DMB fan. Not so much lately...I can't believe they're releasing a greatest hits cd. NOT a good sign... :(




I can't really think of any bands off the top of my head right now. Try some Phish or Dispatch, maybe.

dmb= i wanna be like jerry but yuppies got way more money and .. 1994! ..... never been to impressed by him.... saw him in 95 and saw him in 05... needless to say.. not worth it.... hes bout as bad a phish.

my spectrum of music is very vivd and wide.... never been a phish fan... but i will say my main reason of disliking dmb is the fact he charges 150 for a 2 hour show.... and it was at redrocks... which is chill but... not worth it.. his voice was all poopy.

but phish man.... there all really good musicans.. and i dunno.. thers to much scence" stigma to liking phish... and ive just never got down with it.. you know??? its the same with the dead... i love pretty much every other band that came from that era.. and then theres the dead.... like they got to a point creativtly and were like... hey... lets get a pool fill it with acid.... and will have snorkal tanks of nitrios... and theres the dead.....

but but......... phil lesh is god on bass.. and oysterhead is ill

DMB has good musicians too, don't know if you've realized that. But yeah, I do agree about Dave's voice. It's been going downhill for a while....maybe if he's stop smoking cigs it would help.

I respect that opinion man. I hate DMB personally, never really liked them at all. way to much hype and yuppie vibe with the band. I see where you are coming from with phish and the dead, however I still do like a lot of their music, mostly earlier stuff with phish, i do not like the direction they were going in, in the last five years or so till they broke up.

DMB is definitely a very overrated group, however, I have heard some tracks that make my head twirl.. such as a 4-20 show with Bela Fleck on # 41.. mainly because it flows oh so well and Bela is rediculous, but as a whole DMB should not be given as much credit as possible.

ok, firstoff-how can someone think they are a pothead, the people that talk about how much weed they smoked and how dmb is awesome yet they never actually owned a dmb cd or cannot name more than one member in the band or even know how many members are actually in the band. second-the people who wear ripped clothes and smoke occasionly at partys, take one hit and have to make every one at the party realize they are high. and no i never have listed to "korn". and talent is only part of great music. playing an instrument really well does not mean you are creative like bands like pink floyd, led zepplin, the beatles, the doors, sublime,and bob marley to name a few that will still be listed to and well known in another 50 years from now. i cannot say the same for dave matthews band and i speak for many who appreciate creative and timeless music that will live for generations to come and not just untill the new "amazingly talented" musicians come along
