07/08 Ski Picture Thread

As I did last year, another season starts, new picturs start to come out. Post them up. Let's push for as many pages as last year.

PS no quoting an entire line of skis, it get's insanely cluttered.

I was never trying to say that the white binding mounted on the far right ski was the duke it is the jester, and is what people were saying was the new reactor becuase they saw it on the chronic blends.

If you look closely, youl notce that most of the flex in the EP pro is in the tip and tail, so it will probably ski stffer then it looks in that picture

yeah AR6 sorry. It just seems lame, i mean i know that's madsteez's style but they were all characters he's drawn/painted before, didnt look like any original artwork.

The make it easy for you guys reverse camber= a ski shaped like a v (like the spatula with the reverse camber in the whole ski)
Rockered ski= u (with the opposite camber in the tips and tail with a large flat spot under foot like the pontoon.

pipe cleaners are the white/gray ones that were posted on here a while ago, with the crest thing at the top, what people thought were the LTD or whatever. ARV is cool, all skis are one big scene painted of fishes

Spatual's were reverse sidecut, not camber. Camber refers to the ski's flex.

Sorry. Wrong.

Camber, to be specific, refers to a ski's convexity. If you put an unmounted ski down on a flat surface, you'll notice that the tip and tail touch, but the ski arcs across its length, with the middle being higher, and therefore not touching the flat surface. The height of that arc = camber.

Flex is 100% different from camber, though they are, or rather can be, related.

Rockered tips/tails are generally accepted to be different from reverse camber, as explained by someone else further up. To be brief: reverse camber = the old spatula, where the entire ski was shaped like a banana. Think "normal ski", but turned upside down so that only the middle of the ski would touch the aforementioned flat surface.

Rockered tips/tails = tips/tails that rise up, mimicking the effect of reverse camber. Big difference? The middle of the ski is either flat (and therefore touching the flat surface it's on) for much more of the ski's running surface, or might even have, gasp!, regular camber.

We could go on, but I don't see a need.

ok not to disagree with people, but with the quoting thing, heres my idea


people can quote pics/what people say, depending on what they want to refer to in the previous post, but only for a post with information about what ski it is, and only if it is different from what the other person said. no quoting to say "oh yeah my uncles daughters cousins mother fucked my sisters daughters half brother who rides those skis down in hickertownville". we dont care about your pointless stories about who skis what ski. this is a thread to show what skis are gonna be out next year. so if some1 posts a pic with no idea what the skis are, then i think they should be able to quote and reply if they do know, or if they think its a diff ski than what the original person already said, otherwise dont quote. i hope that made sense

Those videos are fucking awesome. You can see the tail fin on the Fischer Duke! Also the special vid of the Salomon Rocker with production graphics. So many sweet skis next year, I need like 5 grand.
