im making my first trip out west (from toronto) and ive made up my mind on Utah, cause all the skiing is close to close to international airport, now im just stuck on which resort to go to. i was thinking if there like a pass i could go to more than one mountain? but my first choice would be the canyons, right now, because of its size. you guys all know the good places, good parks, back country, night life and much more.so holla back
good park = park city, good pow = snowbird/alta, that's my two cents. I had a season pass to the canyons like 4 years ago, but that year was a horrible winter so it sucked. but Canyons is huge, so i think you can usually avoid the lines. whereas lines can be crazy at alta and the bird (especially weekends/holidays/fresh-pow-days). i hope that helps.
Go to the canyons for the secret stashes of pow days after a storm..... the only problem is finding them cause the place is sooo big.... you gotta know where to go......
If you are going to Park City, The canyons is the best...... PCMR has long lines and tons of beaters........
Alta and the bird are super sick for pow and the steeps.
i just got back from there, we stayed in park city skiied park city mountain, alta, and canyons
tough choice between alta and canyons, but i'm going to have to say alta
PCMR is always really crowded and the lifts are long n shit. Alta/Bird is goodbut can also get crowded, I've shredded The Canyons for 2 years now and the lines sometimes get long but its so huge you can always find stuff in the trees. Its a good place I think for people wo are a ttheir first time in Utah. I remember my first time i stayed a tthe canyons once it was nice. But if you can drive, go to alta or the bird. Screw PC, way expensive, too many lifts/lines, etc.
