Street Racing

I'm doing a project and I need to find out how the media influences street racing. I need movies music video games, everything.

So far I have:

Fast and Furious movies
Act a Fool- Ludacris
Need for Speed- Petey Pablo


Anything else would help guys thanks.

well if you have the song need for speed by petey pablo, you should also write down the need for speed series.. mainly underground 1+2, most wanted, and carbon

pretty much every car racing game ever made, lost of online car forums, website like www.streetfire.net which show alot of street racing, thats all i can think of for now

look at the news, everytime there is a crash the reporters climb over each other to attribute it to street racing etc.  It pisses me off so much, people drive fast, young kids with nice cars especially, doesnt mean they are racing, becaues of this prejudiced bullshit its getting harder and harder to own a nice car without getting labelled a street racer and getting hassled, i dont street race, i like to know how fast i actually am at the track, fuck its 20 bucks for all the runs you can fit in and you have accurate lights, if the guy jumps he is dq'ed not considered the winner etc.

How bout TV ads for the cars. They show them rippen around corners or fly across the salt flasts. some kid is likei have that car, granted its like 20 yr older, and they go out and think that they can do the same thing.

If anyone's played Carbon, and seen Fast and Furious 3. They'll realize that Carbon stole the entire canyon part. I think it's mainly the fast and furious movies that get buy stupid messages to kids.
i.e. granny shifting vs. double clutch. look it up, some kids actually think it's better to double clutch in a little civic. Fast and Furious started that because they're morons.
