Custom brakes

Got my cutom brakes made the other day for my Prophet 130's...the brake will take up to 140mm. When i first got the Prophets i took them to my local ski shop and not only did they say they didnt have a bigger enough brake but it wud also cost £50 to order one and it would take 3-4 months to come in. Then they told me they dont have a jig big enough to mount the bindings so i got my local ski slope to do it.

a marginally competent tech should be able to freehand it by making a one-time-use paper jig.

anyways, thats dope that you got prophet 130s.

yer well wot can i say the ski shops in the uk are not the best. So just went to the black smith, but o well im leaving for Verbier (Switerland) on saturday for 5 month so i can have some good shops.

I also got some 130's I need to have mounted...not sure if I trust shops to do it right though, I'm going to pre-bend my own brakes so they can't mess them up. Just not sure about mounting them myself...we'll see I guess.

well at my local ski slope my friend who works there and i just made a jig from some other skis and adptided it and then did the prophets. it was nervy but once it was done it was top notch so thats how im going to get all of mine done now.
