Ok so on my 4frnt tnk's which ive used for 9 days the edge is cracked and wavy under my heelpiece(where i dont grind the most)and its not just the edge seperating, ther is the white sidewall and then a thin greyish blue layer which i think is the base the edge and that layer are starting to seperate...im afraid this is going to get worse and go all the way up my ski....Is ther anything i can do to stop this or help it?? Also will 4frnt do anything or getboards who i got them from?? I emailed 4frnt wwhen it wasnt as bad like a week n a half ago n still no respons.............DO NOT BUY 4FRNTS if you hit alot a rails....
yeah ur bound to get nicks and everythin on ur skis. especially when ur hittin rails. next ur gonna be complainin that ur bases are scratched when u hit urban rails. take it as they come
on the fuckin third day on skis skiing just a little 10 foot rail a 1ft of the ground n some boxes ur skis should already have cracked edges n dents that go into the sidewall......srry but i mean they should last longer then that, i mean hell my tms from last year lasted longer........
I hit a rock on my K2's and they scratched. DO NOT BUY SKIS FROM K2!
But seriously, that sounds like a warranty issue. Try calling 4frnt and seeing what they say; maybe email them some pictures. They seem like a pretty cool company, I bet they'll help you out.
Ever think it might be you? Maybe your the one who isnt sliding right not the skis? Im pretty sure it was you whos last pair of skis the edges fell apart on to. I have this Years STL and there is 1 tiny ass crack from a good 10 days skiing and there fine i had msp's last year and they got like 3 cracks and thats it nothing ever tore out or delmad
i no edges mess up if u grind alot....im just pissed of because my friend whos got 2 year old stls edges are fine and he rides rails harder then me, so it seems as if 4frnts whernt made as well this year or i got a defected pair, also is ther anything i can do to help it
like right above the edge? that little bit of blue stuff u can see i think its epoxy im not sure if its on my skis lol i think it is but im not to sure its not a big deal
My friend wanted to buy a pair of TNK's from our local shop and the girl there told him not to buy 4frnt's because they always come back delaminating and they didn't want to go through the hassle at the shop of warrantying them.
looks familiar. i lost over 130" of edge on my AR5s two seasons ago. Most of the mountains were barely open, so that pissed me off.
But a separation like the one you're describing shouldnt be tolerated so soon, or really at all. Having cracked edges is one thing (unless you know how to really detune those edges, then even that is unlikely), but delamination such as that should be a defect of the ski, unless you are impacting a rail super hard. Definitely get to a shop asap. You might not get anything resolved, except the knowledge of who you arent buying from in the future.
OMG MEE TOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!1111ONE ITS OK THOUGH CAUSE MY MOMMY AND DADDY IS SUING THEM FOR MEE.
But really... after 3 days or whatever thats still pretty fucked that the edge is actually ripping out. the problem is i deffinatly think they wont take them back.
dude what are talking about, my bro has had the original pe since they have come out, has hit thousands of rails, and no edge problem, same as my other bro with his tweaks, not edge or any problem.
sounds like a defective skis if you ask me, email 4frnt again and if they dont reply call them and get you some new skis.
