Clear Ptex

any tips on how to get clear ptex to melt so that the black soot shit doesnt get into the bottom of the skis?

while the ptex is lit gently roll it around on a peice of metal (like a wax scraper) the black carbon should come off but be carefull not to press too hard or the flame will go out and it will get covered in carbon again when you light it. youll have to keep rolling it in between fills as carbon will continue to build up on the lit ptex as you work.
