Now here's a person that know good music. Man Protest is unbelievable, there deffinatly one of my favourite bands. Like getting a record deal at 16/17 is pretty wicked. Some people mistake teh ablumb for being a concept album, but it actually isn't. 3 songs are the prison guard, 3 songs are the guns men, and 3 songs are about Kezia. They very talented musicians, seeing how they wrote music that they didn't know how to play, and forced them selves to learn it over 2 years.
When you bled on the bed as you fed those expectations as a whore and not a human
You embraced with hesitation the parameters of all you can be
Not a mother, not an aunt, not a sister who's not subdued
Because dignity's not physical and your flesh means more than - Soonest to the Sea
such a solid band .. they played barrie a year ago and me and a buddy drove 40 min with 4 incheas of ice on the highway .. almost dies to see that band ... drove past atleast 100 acidents .. good night
I'll place your justice in my palm, and then I'll make a fist
and punch your grimaced face, until every knuckle breaks
and bleeds, in resistance to my sidewalk painting,
a mangled body, twitching and regaining consciousness and closure, attemping composure, before a bullet in the mouth answers questions of composure
Word to that, Protest The Hero are incredible. For their album Kezia, they wrote songs that they technically couldn't play, then practiced for hours a day until they could play them perfectly.
i listen them every minute of every hour of everday of every week of every month of every year oof every decade of every century of every millenium and so on and so forth
hahaha yeh they all went to my school and i have met/talked to most of them. when Kezia was just comming out they came back and played a benefit concert at our school and were going NUTS. they aer stuper funny guys and it is cool that they are from my school and i always see Tim, lead guitarist, riding his ghetto ass bike infront of my school...
and my buddy told me the other day that one of their songs is in NHL 2007 i believe./..siick.
