Boots Vents !?!

Just curious why ski companies do not put vents on a ski boot? Maybe a sliding pannel which you can close while riding, but can open up when inside have a meal etc... so your feet don't get all wrinkled in sweat or too hot

Yeah, and why don't ski manufacturers put speed holes in their skis?

I think on those 15 below days I'd rather have a structurally sound boot than one that is leaking air through some vent......even IF it's closed. Plus, where would you put it so it actually has a purpose? Sounds like a lot of wasted research and design money that wouldn't be a 'selling' point of a boot.

Hint: If you're inside eating unbuckle and remove feet from boot. TRUST ME, it's a good idea :)

yeah, you just have to deal with your feet being hot. it's much better than them being way too cold (which would result from having vents)

did you know that if you buy hotdog wieners in a pack of 16, they come individually wrapped in plastic? I do, and the plastic doesn't taste very good.

^ yes thankyou. Ski companies definately need to do something about desgining a boot that lets your foot breath. After a warm days its kinda gross to take your foot out of the boot only for it to me sopping wet with sweat!

I've honestly never had that happen...I usually wear a lighter sock on the warm days.

wear a sock made of mostly polyester and that wont happpen. There is also a company that makes socks that eat odor, not sure of the name though.
