I wouldnt know because ive never been there, but the park builder built the park at Marquette Mtn in the midwest, which was good enough to make the top 20 every year......which says a lot for the midwest.
Steve Shelby can weld like no other, I hear a lot of new jibs are coming. Also, he rips. Last time I saw him ski he won a jam with sw 450 onto a down flat down flat down quad kink, disastering all the way down.
Oh yea, sw 10's are cake for him, and he pushed up twin 80 fters at marquette two years ago.
Im interested if anyone knows anymore about this?

My friend Sean is working there right now. He is doing some welding and grooming for the park. I heard it was J.P. Martin from Jackson hole that was running the park at the bowl. From what I hear they are going to actually put some effort in the park this year.
I used to run their park 5-8 years ago. We used to have good jumps but we had no money for rails. Hopefully the management has changed their ways and will support the park crew.

I could swear Steve Shelby was running it, either way, he is now a part of it and has a budget for welding some jibs.
Looking forward to seeing how it turns out, I know some of the locals like that mountain a lot.

Yea, that mountain is awsome if you know the lines. It also has some of the best backcountry access..........besides Alpine.

What up,
lots of noise in the air bout Sugarbowl. so here's the lowdown.
J.P. Martin, formerly of Jackson Hole, Has taken over the park program at the "the bowl". This guy has a resume longer than the laborers at seven-eleven. We also have a solid team of 5 or 6 cat drivers, atleast 4 welders, Myself, J.P., Sean carney(midwest what), and Will, my boy from the ice coast. Not to mention an amazing park crew to assist in all the setups and sporking.
So we basically scraped everything they had for rails, we kept a few small ones and are currently revamping them. We've also purchased a set of boxes and rails from Railbuilders.com . some of which are setup right now. These boxes and rails will most likely stay in the smaller park. We have plans to build all new, large scale rails and boxes like those I made for marquette. We are going to build some unique features, stuff that is fun to ride everyday, skis or boards.
We all come from different backgrounds, and we have managment that is fully behind our cause. I'm stoked to see what we create at that sick little resort. Oh, yeah, Sugarbowl has some of the best terrain in the tahoe area, in and out of bounds.
Let me know if you have any questions, and i'll see you around this winter.
