Replying to Pearl Harbor

December 7,1941 President Franklin Roosevelt called "a date which will live infamy." On that day the Japanese attacked the United States Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii Territory. The bombing kills more than 2,300 Americans. It destroyed the U.S.S. Oklahoma and the U.S.S. Arizona. It sank other three ships. Damaged many vessels, and demolished 180 aircraft. The attack took the country by surprise,especially the ill-prepared Pearl Harbor base.
