yea! we open friday at 2. come ski! we will be up there all day earlier to set up some park features (some flatbars, boxes, and maybe a rainbow and the trap). i think lift tickets are like 20 bucks. so i better see you all out there!
is there any plans to get some rails up in the next week or so? i know it's supposed to stay warm so i'm guessing not, but i was just wondering because i'm only home for 3 weeks
so i was there today 12\16 from 11 am to about 3. i thought conditions were very decent considering the weather. however the park was closed and i have no idea why. looked like plenty of snow. anyone?
the park looked fine. it's just going to melt anyway. i don't know why you guys closed it. who cares if it gets trashed? i know of a few people who didn't come today because the park was shut down. bad move.
I hate posting in other Resort's threads buuuut... PNS has its park open and we're only a few hours drive. We have a small like 10-20 foot jump at the top, a 30' or so spine that is about 15-20' tall and is pretty decent, then we have a 30' flat box that is 12" wide and its pretty killer, and then we have a roller coaster box that is pretty fun also 12" wide. And then there is our little park which has 6 rails and a couple of small jumps. If you guys are bored and wanna make the drive i think that it probably is worth it, but i'm slightly partial.
the reason the park was closed over the weekend. is because since we got all that warm weather the ground melted the snow underneath(SP?). we (jamoson rhode + mitch derr(me) chris kid) went to go open it on friday and as we were walkin down the hill Jamoson's foot went under the snow knee deep and when he pulled it out it was all muddy.
haha yeah who gives a shit it's gunna melt anyways so y didn't u just let it get trashed and let ppl have fun drove down saturday bout 1 30 and it sucked
heffnasty51. dude honestly lets get real. who cares if i do have sponsores its not like i get shit for free!!! i do pay for shit just like u but @ a lower cost... im out to ride dude what happends off the snow happends so just get over it if im sponsored or not im not a fucking god im a humin being just like you!!!
Rossigan_Rider!!!! im sorry heffnasty51... dude spensor no one likes u and personaly i dont really care if ppl like me. im there to ski progress and fun while it lastes!!!!
i hate to sound like the asshole here but what the hell dont you guys understand about record setting temperatures, unstable snow, and resort priorities. we didnt open friday because my foot went all the way through the snow to the mud because the snow was so soft, the whole hill was that way when we checked it out. that kind of shit just isnt safe and it would not have been any fun for you to ski on neways. it was closed on the weekend bc there were mud spots up and down the hill and it was decided that it just wasnt worth opening. so until you can make it get cold and snow for us dont bitch. deal with it you live in ohio and this is just how it works.
bitching at us for something beyond our control is a bad move, closing the park bc it simply isnt worth having open isnt.
yo let's not get our pannies in a wad i know conditions are unsafe and i guess it's really hard to see sarcasm on the internet so don't start bitchin at me for messin around
Yeah Yo. Perfect's made snow last night. Not a ton.. just enough to make it white, and fill in a few spots. It seems like the most snow was made in the park. There is a bigger shelf after the second hit that will be good to put towards the rails. It's actually been really fun lately. The big park has that like 10 foot table up top, then a 25 foot table with lots of pop. There is a rail line with the C rail (curving right), the 30 foot flat box, and the rollercoaster box all in a line. The little joey park has like 5 or 6 different small rails. The 16 foot single barrel and flat bar, etc.
The weather looks bad for the next week or so, but if you can come down in the next few days i'd do it.
