I'm doing something new, looking for ideas.

I've got me a cliff in my backyard. I want to hit it. The inrun is all cut out, nice takeoff, if you can apply that term to a cliff. The actual rock face is only about 6.5 feet but the landing is steep do I'd say your dropping about 10 feet by the time you touch down. I want advise on what I need for a run out, what kind of snow conditions I want on the landing, how to do the actual drop/takeoff thing, etc. Somebody who has done this before include some tips on hitting it, speed, etc.

Can I make a perfectly flat, clean takeoff/dropoff point or is that just stupid?

i would put a small jump like 3 feet behind the edge of the cliff, that way youll still land good and youll go higher..or u could put a rail at the edge

jumps sounds like an ok idea, but the rail for me would be a recipe for disaster, odds are I'd eat the rail and roll off the cliff, bad situation.

This cliff was about 15 feet high. Pretty sick. There was about 1 foot of snow on the ground at the time. You basically need a lot of snow if you want a smooth landing otherwise your going to want some good knees and strong ankles. We didn't build a jump.. I think its better like that more natural.

looks fun but unless you are landing way down i dont think it is 15 feet. More like 8

Yeah if anything it was over 15 feet you can't see the landing in the picture at the bottom theres another probably 2 feet of the rock.. Theres snow because of a ledge.
