Alpine pass + Boreal $99 Night Pass = Best of both worlds...
best powder and steeps, sick back country access, not the crowds of n*, mile long park at ALpine, night park and superpipe at Boreal. can't beat that with a stick.
yea I like that, I'm probably going to go with that. I was looking into the college midweek pass as well but seeing as I'm a senior in high school I doubt I'll get away with it although I look like I could be in college. Do they check often for proof of college enrollment when the midweek college pass picture is being taken?
What they need to do for next season is make an Alpine/Boreal combo pass like the double whammy and make it between $350-$450 for college students.
Are you accusing me of not immediately picking up on his sarcasm? Alpine is the shit, but its always hard to downgrade from a Squaw pass like I had last season.
that gaper infested park is actually pretty dope though and breal packs quite a crowd on the weekends too. but there all sick it just depends on what you like to ride. breal = lapping a solid park a million times. alpine = superb jumps and actual terrain. nstar= unreal jib setup
i would go alpine. you can get some sweet park but you can also still go shred some pow. northstar and boreal are pretty much only good for park. if park is the only thing you want then probably northstar, but they always have real long lines, boreal is close behind because they are going to have a pretty nice set up this year i think.
word about the double whammy alpine/boreal pass. they are the same corporation, why hasnt this already happend? The sick thing is is that an alpine pass is a triple whammy, it works at alpine, park city, and mt bachelor, WHAMMY.
Alpine no doubt (sick park, plus more terrain than you know what to do with), then pan-handle for money in front of the PastTimes and collect enought dough to grab a B-Real night or college pass.
Ya id get a N* pass, adding and reiderating what alpineplease said. Alpine doesnt really have long landings on their jumps with good lips, and the rest of the mountain is pretty much shitty with no cliffs steeps or anything. pretty much all you have is the magic carpet. but that thing is pretty dope. and ya , even if you ski slow whos going to see.
Do you ever get off of accelerator chair? The biggest features at Boreal are way out of the ways of the crowds, Alpine or Boreal is ALWAYS the saturday choice for me.
If I go to Nstar, and I do, I go midweek.......and the tuesday nstar crowd is like the saturday alpine crowd.
word, the dutchman chair never more than a two minute wait, even on holiday weekends. The runs are a bit short though but its definetly 10x better having that whole park to yourself than to be dodging the gaper snowboarders at the northstar park. During the week though n* is fun.
alpine. best scene (n*'s sick if you board), hopefully the most bad ass park in tahoe this year, and its mostly locals... not tour busses full of gapers from the bay (boreal sometimes)
