im gettin saloman foils and i was wondering how i should get them mounted i hear "dead center" and "top center" i dont really get it can someone explain
true center is halfway down the ski, perfectly in the middle. Core center is the middle of the core, which is like 4cm back from true center probably. 'Recommended' is usually like 6 or 7cm back from true center and is useful mostly for mountain skiing.
How much park/mountian/BC and stuff do you ski? that'll help, then we can recommend where to mount your skis. Basically, forward from recommended or center mounting is better for switch skiing and park, and back is better for mountain and powder all that.
Of course some people will disagree but thats generally how it goes.
if you get them dead center then its gonna be in the dead center, which means youll have the same amount of ski in the front and back, if you get them core center (im not sure about this) then that means that the weight on the front and the back of the ski is the same, if you get them mounted dead center, that would be putting more weight on the front of your skis, but i dont know much about skis so im not even sure if what i said was right
