IF YOU CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO READ THE WHOLE THING, JUST READ THE LAST PHRASE PLEASE!
So here's the deal: Last year I ordered a pair of Völkl Dogens from an online shop. They had a defect, and they sent me a new pair. This happened with 3 pairs of the Dogens. After the 3rd pair, I decided to pay a 150 euro more to get the 4FRNT STL, which I assumed to be a durable, nice pair of skis. Ho wever, after a few weeks, the STLs had a defect too, the edge popped out at the tail of one ski. The shop admitted it was a defect and they fixed it up, and then sent the skis back to me. However, the season was over. It wasn' t until this season I got to use them again. After 12 days of this season (that's a total of about 4 weeks on the STLs, if you include the few weeks from last season), I noticed that the bottom layer - the layer to which the edge is attached to - was separated from the others, under the binding. I assumed it was a factory flaw/defect(is that what you call it English?) and I sent an email with pictures to the shop. To my not-so-glad surprise, they sent me the following email:
"Hi, thank you for your e-mail and the pictures.
We are sorry, but this is not a production fault or a warranty issue. Due to force impact the edge has been teared off the base. That has nothing to do with production faults. 4FRNT doesn`t accept this as a reclamation."
In a latter email, they also suggested that I had "crashed" all the Völkl Dogens which obviously - as they admitted- had defects. Therefore I think that they just don' t believe me anymore. I know other people have had problems with their STLs and I seem to be needing some proof for the company, so If you' ve had any problems with durability with the 4FRNT STLs, please share them here!

that bites, if an edge pops or a ski delams that quick they should at least give you a some credit towards a new pair, though if its rail damage they kinda have the upper hand technically.

HammerBeltsi.. you probably have a pair that was made before 4frnt started to make their skis in the option snowboard factory. the ones made before this were still made well, but there was a high occurance of defects. i would get in touch with someone at 4frnt directly and tell them your situation. for the most part they are all chill guys.

I swear the bases are not very durable at all! Last year my brothers friend had a HUGE chunk of base missing to the point where you could see into the core. And my buddy bought a pair this year and somehow scraped the hell out of his base after 2 days of shredding.
They're sick skis because they're so damn light. but in most cases lightweight means less durable! In my opinion the best park ski is the company that puts together the best Lightweight/to/Durablity ratio!
