Comparable camcorders to PVGS 300

Im quite interested in the panasonic PVGS 300 but its a little pricy for my liking, wondering if you guys can recommend any alternatives that might be close to or equal to the same quality of video, something that works well for skiing, probably have to have an optical image stabalizer, alright let me know what you guys have used thanks.

theres nothing else that is a 3ccd and cheap as the 300, i have the 500 and its a great beginner camera, good quality and the optical image stabilizer is prime. bought it for 679 off of beachcamera.com sorry if i didnt help but theres real no other camera cheaper and the same quality as the 300 or 500
