Hey I'm looking at some Line Prophets and I'm wondering what the difference between regular twins and directional twins is. Thanks

the only difference is the GPS tracking chip in the directional skis. The chip allows the skier to navigate the BC safely

Well the new Fischer addict is duel directional...meaning it is the same from core center front and from core center back...directional twins would be different I.E. softer in the tip and stiffer in the tail

Directional twins usually have a bit more sidecut and are a bit more lively side to side

yet, if you look at the specs for the Prophets, the TIP AND TAIL ARE THE SAME HEIGHT. It may have meant this at one time, but now I just belive it is designed to go mainly forward. The mount point is a whole 8.5cm back on the prophets, meaning your tails are tiny for switch.

"directional"....they are made to be ridden in one direction. ie, bc skis. u can land and ride switch fine, but ull usually be going forward. through deep snow hopefully

all the Prophets except for the 100 and the 130 have a directional twin tip. The 100, and the 130 have a full twin tip.

Actually, the 80 is the only one that has different tip and tail heights, if that's what you mean

you must have the 130. The only ski they make with a taller tip is, strangely, the regular Chronic.

My 130's have a full twin, but the 80 from last year(not 100% on the other Prophet models for this year) didn't have a full twin, the tail was quite a bit smaller, fine for landing switch sometimes, but definitely designed to ride mostly forward.

It's totally true, all the directional twins are bomb in the back-country cause you can't get lost.
All times are Eastern (-5)
