Demo Bindings

What's up with demo bindings? Given that they are adjustable, is there any other advantage or disadvantage to having them? If they're already mounted but for a different size than your boot, will adjusting the size screw up where your foot is relative to the centerline of the ski?

are they any less sturdy than normal bindings - do they release any easier or do you have to worry about them "adjusting" while you're skiing?

Easier to steal skies w/ demo bindings. I don't think they will perform as well as regular bindings and I'm 99% sure they are heavier.

How are they mounted on? I know they arent drilled. How easy is it to switch them to a different ski?

heavy, usually higher as if you had a plate. other good side with adjustability is that you can move your boot from ride position to center position in 2 seconds by moving it forward/backward.

they are good to have on an extra pair of skis, for friends and such. thats the only real advantage

They are definately heavier... the plate makes them higher....

they are nice to have on a pair of "house" skis so your idiot friends can use them.....

plus like the other guy said you can adjust them front and back... not a lot but enough to make a difference.

I have a pair on my old 1080's, I use them as my urban. They are defiantly heavier but seem work the same as any other bindings.

I don't think is possible to mount them as regular bindings.
