maybe, in the forums, there should be a little thing next to the thread titles that is like a little thingy that says that someone has posted a resent reply in that thread..

if that makes any since.

for an example go to www.nasioc.com and in the forums, a little arrow shows resent reply

no no i know what he means... like boardpass.com as well... like a little dot even or something distinct to show that someone has posted a new reply in it(so you dont hafta keep reading and checking it or memorizing last amount oif posts on it).... good idea!

and aside from the dates, if you log out then log back in you know if its quazzi recent or not

that's why there is different color threads if you log out

d-lite, you said fig and date in the same sentence, and i thought of fig newtons, because they are made with weird fruits like a date, which is a fruit.
