So im moving to missoula next year

and im wondering how far is the closest hill out side of the montana snowbowl?

lame. at least its better than traveling a couple of hours to get to a hill with like 800 vertical. haha i hate the midwest.

lolo is like 30 minutes away, all hiking, but great snow, a couple booters up there already, one by me, look out is a little over an hour, silver is like 2 or less. those r the closest, but snowbowl is great to get a season pass there because its like 15-20 minutes, however get a pass there only if u have more cash to throw down at other areas

I didn't know lookout was that close.  That's sweet, they get way more snow than snowbowl ever does.

Discovery isn't too far from missoula, its ok there when they get snow. lost trail isn't too far either, they always get pounded midseason

college for me nope. not at all.
my friend that i grew up with got into u of m so i said id go out west with him cos we always shred and stuff. but ill have a career and stuff im gonna be a barber. haha its legit.

the back country out of missoula is tight. plus no one is there. a skin setup or a sled and it gets dirty real quick

dude, the town is fucking awesome as hell, always shit to do, sick new skate park.  The skiing  is a mediocre.  Drive up to big mtn once in awhile and you will be stoked (3hr drive but worth it).  Hit up snowbowl on a powder day, which are sorta rare, but when they do have pow that place is cool.  Find marshall mountain and hike their if you feel like it, pretty close place to hike if they got snow (like 15 minutes out of town).  Sometimes you just gotta work pretty hard to get to good skiing in that town which either means travelling or hiking.  The town is serisously sick though. Lots of hot chicks everywhere in that town, the hard part is meeting them lol.

if you think the skiing sucks around missoula then you haven't been to the right places. Off snowbowl there is some of the best riding in montana but shhhhh no one knows...actually it is better that people talk shit so people stay away.

yea lookout can get boring fast. losttrails dope and pretty big. they also really stepped up the park this year

enigma you are a fucking retard. i have been living and skiing in missoula for longer than youve been alive. Snowbowl is 25 minutes out of town and has some of the most veritical in the state. they have hundreds of acres of non stop steep trees and glades. if you dont know about snowbowl i am glad, dont ever come. stay over at bridger and hike the ridge

and you also have to ride 30 minutes of lifts to get the vertical. the snow is prolly the shittiest in the state. and the lift tickets are at a outragus price. and as far as the "steep runs" are concerend ive never skied anything at snowbowl that has impressed me as far as steepness
