Hey...just thought I'd ask how foils hold up on rails.
I have a pair of '05 1080's (what are now the thrusters) and I'm really not pleased with their durability on rails. I've got a couple dings in the edge, and had a little underfoot delam fixed up about 6 days into the season.
The edges just seem really soft and not very thick.
Can someone correct me if I'm wrong...but both thrusters and foils are cap construction right? I hear the foils are a sick all mountain ski, but my bro was looking to buy some and wants to learn rails and I'm hesitant about recommending this ski for the purpose.
Any experience or input would be appreciated.
