what binding is it, because it depends on the binding. usually a little tab in the rear of the heel piece can be lifted to adjust the heel piece on the track (if it has one). Only problem is, if you don't know what you're doing, you might adjust the binding so that the boot fits, but you may have no clue if your forward pressure is correct.

It a two piece tyrolia and it does have a track. It has a little tab but it wont push down although it looks like it should.

Yeah, not only does the boot have to fit but your forward pressure has to be right, and if you've never skied them, they probably should be release tested as well, just for safety before you start the season skiing on them.

on Rossi/look you lift up the heel piece and then turn the screw on the back and it will adjust the length.

with that binding, when you click your boot in, that screw on the back of the heel piece should be flush with the edge of the plastic. thats how to gauge the forward pressure. but im just saying since you adjusted it anyway

sorry to bump this acient thread but i just adjusted some bindings for my little bro using the track ( they were my old skis from last season) and i calculated the proper DIN for him then adjusted the heal and the toe. Is that enough like by checking forward pressure is that just the DIN on the toe peice?

No. Forward pressure is usually some tab/notch/line on the heel piece that should move into the correct place when the boot is clicked in. The track is the forward pressure adjuster.
