Skiers and boarders in the same films.

I've been watching alot of the am film teasers and i think it's really tight when theres skiers and boarders in the same films...its like it shows the two different styles so it mixes it up and makes it more entertaining. What I want to know is why i only see this in am films...it would be really sick to see a pro film with skiers and boarders. I guess it's mostly because of the sponsors of the movies that do a lot of the funding and the skiing and snowboarding brands would clash? I dunno what do you guys think

Strait up, I agree man. I really hope that starts happening, cause it would make for such a sickfeel for a movie. I sort of get board watching just skiing in movies, cause skiers and boarders share the mountain/features, its cool to see how other riders respond to backcountry jumps and rails or steep lines.
I guarantee that if someone stood up and seriously made a pro boarder/skier movie with cool music/edits/events, then it could create a revolution in the way ski/board films are made. Hell, its all alot of work to get back there and film this shit, why not get all aspects of being on the snow and up the mountains. Ski movies these days make it seem like snowboarding doesnt exist.
And just because you dont see rollerblading in skate movies is different in my opinion. You dont have to travel back into the mountains to film that shit so its easier to choose what to film. Plus its always cool to step away from "boundaries" that people have created in their minds about ideas such as this thread is about.
I was seriously thinking about this exact same thing a few days ago, I'm glad you made a thread.

that would for sure be super sick. i love watching both. since snowboarders have been hitting jump/rail features for longer, its fun to see how they work the mountain, and try to do some of the same stuff on skis.

although i find in those movies with both skier and boarders i tend to find that they usually dont have as much talent as the movies that are specificaly on one or the other.

That is not the case in TGR, you have the best big mountain snowboarder and big mountain womens snowboarder, Jones and victoria, and you got the sickest skiers-Nobis, SETH, Sage, Collins, The frenchmen, mark, doug, the whole lot of em. If is not balanced but you have the cream of the crop in both areas.

TGR is really pushing the ski/snowboard thing. anomaly has lots of boarders too, and it a sweet movie
