hey i am thinking of asking for a new laptop for christmas and i want a mac. but i want to know if i can run windows on it becuase i heard its possible. does anyone else do this and is it practical.
cause i have been using windows my whole life and know how to use it and i had a mac before and thought it was mad confusing and i dont feel like learning everything over
Well there is no real reason to get a mac and then run windows on it, even though windows runs better on macs then on alot of pc's, but still OSX is better. but if you are getting a laptop I think there maybe a new one coming out latter with the new procesers, when lepord comes out. mind you I have not seen any actual things saying that there will be a new laptop, that is just my guess.
no you cant. you can run mac on a mac, and xp on a mac by partitioning the hard drive, but you sure as hell cant run os x on a hp cause os x requires a specific chip set only available for macs.
Eh. I have both and I'm not entierley convinced. If i had to pick one computer, I'd take the Mac for sure, but a highly competent PC user behind a powerful machine would blow most Mac's. I dunno, I like both. For example Word still runs like shit on a mac, i know its a Microsoft product but whatever.
actually you can indeed run OSX on an HP now that OSX is written for x86 chipsets. My friend has a Windows XP boot and an OSX boot on his generic brand PC.
yea i just got a mac and it is soo sick, it has a 300 gb harddrive and it soo fast. mines not a laptop, but still the new macs are soo sick considering the the computer is inside the moniter
