Hey mammoth is going off and if people keep going there durring the spring maybe intrawest will keep it open specially since it going off.
The park is in amazing condition jumps rails plenty of snow and guess what they are building a half pipe at the bottom of climax at 10,000 feet.

I work for intrawest and yes they control mammoth operations. they have for like 10 years

Intrawest owns something like 51% of Mammoth, but mammoth still controls the voting shares, so we do what we want, not not intrawest wants. Intrawest can tell us to do something, but if we dont want to, we dont have to listen to them. Intrawest does not build parks - they build Villages and Condos. They are a real estate developer. As for how long mammoth will be open - there is no date set. No one controls the weather, so when there is not enough snow to ski to Main Lodge we will close. We usually announce the closing date a week before, when we can determine when the snow will be gone. We will be open for a while longer - they are just opening the Spring pipe in a few days - we still have a good 15 feet up top and 30-40 feet blown in some places

Intrawest came here in 96 - 7 years ago not 10.

Dave McCoy is still in charge here. He accually cares about the mountain and town unlike intrawest - thats why he will never sell out - all his kids sold out to intrawest.

The only thing that sucks about living here is it's scary to try new stuff in the park cause you know if you fall you're gonna get hit and made fun of by all the pros. It's kinda intimidating.

yea your right about that pro thing.
Its so intimidating especially when you see them on the lift at the last second right as you start to roll in and you can see they are looking at you.
Then if you screw up or not impressive you will get no respect when your waiting for a hit people will just go in front off you.

However watching them and skiing with people who are better makes you better and pushs you a lot.
