i have decided that i am going to get the scratch bc skis instead of the karmas. i wanted a ski that would be flexier and fun that were wide for float in pow. i am 6-6'1 and am 160lbs but will probablly gain weight in a few years i hope. i am an aggressive skier and ski big lines, pow, trees, park and groomers to get to those types of runs and doing those fast. i ski 60-70% all mountain and 30-40% park but i am going to get some cheap park skis soon so i dont screw up the nice ones. i need help deciding whether i get the 178 or the 185. the 185s scare me alittle but if they are better for me ill get them. any advice would be great thanks.

you could get the 185 and mount like +2 from the freeride mark.. They will ride a little shorter, be more stable than the 178 and still float well in the pow pow
At your height i would say 185, but you dont weigh that much. You say you ski pretty agressively so go the 185s

I have Sick Birds(tele version of BC,same ski supposedly)unmounted, the 178 measures 176 tip to tail. The 185 measures 182. I'll most likely return the 178. The 07 WRS SB feels slightly softer than last years BC by hand flex, but noticeable.07 WRS is 1lb 3oz lighter a pair in the 178 size compared to 06 Scratch BC.
You may want the 185 length at 6'1"

not THAT stiff. i don't think.
and well, if want the preformance in the park go with 178. but better for everything, 185. I'd say 185.

Yeah... my friend is prolly going to get the Sprayers because I was telling him how stiff the BC Pro was when I skied em last year. I think the Sprayers would be better for him cuz he's prolly 50% in the park so needs a lil forgiveness.

185 is perfect. Dont go any shorter. The BC wrs is a go everywhere do everything machine. Great sidecut so you can still turn. Resonably stiff so you can hold your own and charge through some crud. and wide enough to float. Mount them at the freeride indicator. Believe me you'll love these skis.
