damn, i'm just too lazy right now and i gotta study for a test but i'll tell every one shortly, it's just that it'll take a couple of minutes to really type and i don't have the time right now
yeah, he definitely put some sort of decal over his ski... if you look at the "Bitty" on the lower part of the right ski you can see the reflection of the decal. Really dope lookin though... im interested in hearing how he did it.
i think the graphics are just a printout which he scotch taped to his skis... if you look at the bottom of the lower left ski you can see what looks like a piece of tape. And you can see some overlaps... like below the girl's chin on the right ski. Tell us if this is real or not.
yes i've put my life savings in to them. all 250 bucks. ok now i figured i'd let everyone know. so the real deal is it was actually quite simple. atleast the idea was simple, but the process was anything but that. to begin with i bought a pair of 176 05/06 rossi sprayer bc, the one's with mostly all black topsheet. i really liked the ski but since i hadn't skied it yet i felt like doing something special with them cause i got them in the summer so i had plenty of time. i wanted to do something more than just throwing random stickers on it so i took that idea one step further. i decided to do some kind of full length two ski design to flow from top to bottom and look like a legit design. i didn't know what i wanted on it at first but when i saw the rossi create it contest top 100 finalists i really liked the naked chick design and my mind was set on that. somehow i was going to get that design from the small pic online to my skis. basically i copied and pasted the design into photoshop but obviously it was way too small and not set up right for my skis yet. i basically segmented the design for each ski into about 10 total separate files. for each file i'd copy and paste a small part of the design such as the head and enlarge to fill up an 8.5x11 document. when it's enlarged so much it becomes extremely pixelated so i had to go through the design pixel by pixel (very very tedious) while using a pic of the normal design as a guideline because it's easy to lose track of what is what when it's just a bunch of colored pixels. when i was doing this i changed the colors to match my blue sidewall and replaced all orange pixels with that one color and then all of the red pixels were replaced with a darker shade of blue and i made the already white parts a clearer white. once all 10 parts were done which took a looooooong time by the way, i started doing test prints which is where several trials and errors came into play. after a lot of this process of tweaking everything to match up correctly i finally had everything all set so i printed each sheet to some store bought simple white sticker paper. once that was done i trimmed everything and put them on my skis and used a razor blade to do some more trimming. when it was all on i used clear packing tape to "laminate" it otherwise the ink would run. finally i named my skis the "Bittie BC" to replace the sprayer bc name. i used them once already and the tape worked pretty well although i need to retrim some spots and it did tear a little here and there, but overall i'm very satisfied with the results and if it falls apart later this season i can either reprint the entire thing and restick them or i can honorably retire the bittie bc and just throw some random stickers on. whewwwww. are you all satisfied now? i hope so cause all of this typing was almost as much effort as i put into my skis. thanks for reading if you made it to this point.
