Mounting '07 Fujatives - don't yell

Now...before you start yelling searchbar, I know there have been MANY threads, even a sticky re mounting Fujatives.
That said...I'm still not completely clear. This is my second set of twins (my first being '05 1080's)...and I mounted my first set at recommended.
I understand that the midsole/sidecut is closer to center on Fujatives, because it is a park oriented ski. Like most skis, is there only one recommended mounting line on them?
I'm going to be skiing 75-80% park...thought the fujis would be a good fit.
However, I've skied for 17 years, and for that 20%, I dont want to sacrifice control...particularly because I'll be skiing east coast. So I'm not crazy about mounting them too far ahead of recommended.
LOL..can someone post a picture of the mounting matte on this ski and use paint to show the different options?

In other words...I have heard some people suggest (on fujative mounting threads) that the center of the sidecut on fujatives is closer or equal to the core center of the ski.
I dont believe it. Recommended mounting line is always the center of the sidecut (i.e. where the ski is the narrowest). If core is +7.5 then recommended would be behind the center of the sidecut, which makes NO sense.

the line marked 7.5 is 4 cm behind the actual center of the ski

dude, trust me if you mount them all the way forward on the very most Forward mark, you'll love them. They are a soft park ski, so they're not going to be perfect out of the park anyways... BUT You will benefit infinitely much from mounting them foreward. If you get your skis too short for you, you might wnat to mount them a little bit back, but since I'm 5'10" and don't ski anything less than a 178, mounting them foreward is a good thing. and k2's recomended mounting is thae farthest back out of all the ski companies. I ski on ice all the time, you'll be fine.

all the recommended marks on k2s are pretty far back, I had my public enemies at I think like 2 cms in front of the forward-most mounting point and they were sick. for 80% park though I'd just go like 2 cm back from TRUE center, meaning the dead center of the ski, -2. At first it will feel a little weird for carving and stuff but you'll get used to it and learn to love it. The only reason I'd mount my twins more than like 2 or 3 back from true center would be for pow.

Why do you hate your fujatives?

About the best place to go for you would be at core center. Thats recomended which is center of the sidecut. At that position they will perform as good all mountain as a pair of fujatives is going to and they rock in the park. Anything behind core center is going to take away from the park performance designed into the ski. I'm at core center on last years (i guess exactly the same mounting wise) and they arent the greatest handling ski outside the park but they get the job done on groomers.

Wow, I'm more confused after reading all of these threads than I was before I did. There are just so many different opinions. Is there someone that doesn't ski park so much? If so where did you mount em?

Thanks for the input guys...after some research and after seeing a picture of the 06' fujas mounting matte...I've decided to go +7.5.
All times are Eastern (-5)
