S-rail length?

Ok so my dad knows this guys that makes railings and shit and im gunna have him make an s-rail for me cuz i can get it cheap how long should i make it i was thinkin like 20 ft or 18 ft. any suggestions

I wouldnt go below 18', shoot for over 20', given the nature of an S rail it wil get pretty hard to do when it gets smaller.

personally i wouldnt want an s rail

get a flat down or a frame or something

ours is 25',  and it seems like a perfect length. If you make it to short, the curves will be rediculous
