I hate shop techs that dont take their time on jobs. I had a pair of skis mounted uneven on the ski this season, worst experience mounting ever. I personally would put up a fight man, If you worked all sumer to buy your skis then got them and the shop guy fucked them up, I wouldnt take that.
BTW, props to the shop techs that do take their time and do the job right.

First of all, I dont think it really makes a difference but theres a different side of the binding facing outward on each ski. And then the little chip/crack near the base.

im pretty sure the bindings are identical, i.e no left and right - nothing to worry about there
as for the chip, it looks merely cosmetic from here
Its hard to guage the depth of the chip, but if you had to be concerned about anything it would be that the chip is right next to one of the screws..
I really dont think its anything to worry about though - see what the others say, they know more than me about this sorta thing coz they mount bindings to skis every other day.. :D

o i tought you meant the ski base not the binding
I believe it might weaken the base of the binding but I'm not sure it'll be too bad
still I would tell the tech to give you a new plate. It's his fault and you dont have to tkae risk cause he made a mistake
