Who owns armada/ partial ownerships? Their skis are made in the atomic facotry no? Do they have another company that is above them? Jp/Tanner/Who/What?
all i know is that, tanner, jp, julien, boyed, jf, and chris o connel( not to sure about chris) helped start it and are major share holders, so yes they do own some of the business, as to where they are made i think there is a factory in California, but im not sure if atomic makes them or what, i dont think they do.
the skis say made in EU on them. European Union but I don't know what country. Whatever crazy eastern european country that atomics are made in. Bratislava!
its really owned by some mega wealthy european investors. Although I have had some atomic reps around here going ape at me because according to them armadas are made by atomic. but that really didnt mean shit because theyre quite different.
the Real owner of Armada lives in Verbier in Switzerland in winter and the Dominican Republic in Summer, hes very rich and Drives a sick ass bmw. And he is English and has a hot nanny..
theres like 17 threads on this get your facts right! The 06-07 armadas are produced in ATOMICS factory! All prior years were produced in Elans factory! And Armada is owned by like 20+ people who are refurred to as "share-holders"
A couple of wealthy English investors with too much money to spend got roped into starting a ski company that would be run by athletes and offering partial ownership in the company.
My understanding is that JP, Tanner, Julien, etc started as the pro team and did all the research and design etc, but it is owned by the above mentioned rich dudes (brothers I think). Maybe the athletes have shares, but I don't think ownership. 4frnt skis are now being made at the Elan factory, but I don't know about Armada. I thought they were being made in the Atomic factory.
no you be considered a stockholder in that situation. And any other one unless you were controlling the majority of the stock signifying the "owner" part
Exactly. Every shareholder is an owner, regardless of the amount of ownership you hold. You don't have to be a majority owner (shareholder) to be considered an owner. Maybe you guys are wondering who is on the board of directors or something.
When was armadas IPO? i was unaware they went public?
wouldnt that mean they dont actually have stock? Thus no Shares?
Everyone who has contributed to a piece of the armada pie would thus be an investor no? The riders do play big roles though and hold "corporate" type postions.. like vice president.... which means a paycheck operation responsibilities not necessarly ownership of the company
they are made by atomic. if you look at the bottom of this years models, they have a vin number towards the tail. that's an atomic number. also, if you see the wrapping they come in, the sticker on them is the same as atomics. last year only some were made in the atomic factory, this year i think most of them, if not all, are made there. not sure. but most now are. as far as who owns it, no clue.
just to clear things up, armadas are made by elan. without any doubt. they were being made in somewhere in the US, and just this year they switched the to main factory in austria. im 100% sure, and if anyone doubts me, they can suck my nuts.
Atomic and Elan have factories with large amounts of press's. Armada pays to use these factories to make their skis. Any Atomic rep tha tsays they make Armada is fucken retarded. They dont, they rent out factory time so that the skis can be pressed. There are no similarities between atomic and armada or elan and armada.
I am sure in payforitskier magazine they said Burt Lancaster, Burt Bacharach and Burt from sesame street were shareholder/investor/dictator. I belive the skis are made AT Big Birds house. Anyone who say different is mental.
Actually after a little more research I discovered the following.
The original project leader was that kid Urkel from the tv show, however due to an inability to nose press (his glasses kept falling off when he leaned forward too hard), he was fired and given a GT snowracer with his own handicapped parking spot at the ski school as a severance package.
His place was taken by Shaquille O'Neal's illegitimate love child Leroy (conceived on a one nighter with Barbara Streisand), however Leroy developed a habitual felt marker sniffing problem and had to be replaced with a Board of Directors led by Donald Rumsfield and Micheal Moore. Of course this led to an inevitable breakdown, as both Donald and Micheal had been carrying on affairs with the same secretary.
Following a year of unrest, the project was handed over to a consulting group who determined that the company would be best served under the guidance of a trio of Bolivian Llama herders.
This worked fairly well until they were all killed in a bizarre accident involving liquid particulates, liguid nitrogen, and a few too many liquid lunches.
Finally the entire project was scrapped until years later, when plans for the Pipe Scraper were discovered behind a liverwurst exhibit in Prague by Fat Bastard and Mini-Me.
They re-started the company and continue running it today.
The actual ski construction takes place in Dr Evil's submarine lair (which is long, hard, and full of seamen).
