Metal rail

its supposed to snow by me like next week so i want to get a rail or something up. i was wondering if its easy and cheap to build a metal rail or should i try to make a box

follow these plans. it is a sick rail and dosent cost that much. about $33 to be exact.

Its just nails and wood, looks like a good one to me, although it might become a little wobbly it looks like

that rail is sick, but it isnt long eanuf. go for like 16 ft or sumthing, trust me

yea use the searchbar too for summer setups and rails and boxes...theyre really easy and inexpensive. but like he said go longer than you think ull want it later

you have to us screws in the wood so it is stable and doesn't break on you and you face plant into nails. that would suck

First of all, make it longer than 8ft. Metal is pretty expensive, and it is best to have or borrow an arc or MIG welder. PVC works fine though if you want to be thrifty.

Did you use any wood glue, or just long wood nails? And how did you get the pipes to stay on stable? Did you drill from underneath and use lug nuts from the inside to hold it down?
