Replying to Decisions

Well here is another advice thread for the members of "NS" to expand on. My situation is a very sticky one indeed and this is my last option for someone elses view.

The situation: My school gets a lot of imports, and I mean in between 40 -60 a year. This year we got a lot of Swiss kids. Now I'm super tight with this one Swiss kid who goes by the name of : Fabian. Now he wants to take me back to Switzerland with him when he goes back. The trip would be approx. 3-4 weeks with free accomadations and meals. The flight would leave on July 6th and would cost $2159.99 CAD.

Now the trouble. I have a coaching job for the local swim team which I could grasp with as little as a resume. The season starts in June and ends in the end of July. I have no money to pay for the flight because I spent it all on ski equipment for this year etc... So I would have to get a job now to pay for the flight and the spending money. My other option was to finish coaching untill the end of the swim season and then go and have lots of money, but that idea got scratched because my friend starts school on August 15th.

My question: What should I do.
1) Screw the swim season and $2500 I would make and get a job now.
2)Coach for the duration of the season and go next summer.

By the way my mother is the craziest person alive and is never happy and is always yelling at me. She won't "approve" of the idea of skipping the swim season. My father says he doesnt know what to tell me.
