i go every year
I am gonna film me hittin that cliff this spring before it turns into a Waterfall and there is alot better stuff than tucks go off the backside in the winter.
ive been three times...and no, whoever up there said it was a waste, youre an idiot, its the tallest mountain in new england and it a ton of fun, if not for the skiing, then for the experience.
i know this may sound a litte korny, but do you guys use Avalanche beacons and transmitters when u go up there in mid winter, they said they have a lot of Avalanches
Go in april I have picks of me hucking the waterfall but I can't import them. Make sure to go before the ski route to the bottom melts. You can ski all the way down to the bottom
i did it was way fun, hike to the bottom of the hill was so gay, it was like mountain hiking and you get hungry and thirsty and tired and i was gunna cry, the scariest park is hiking up the mountain if your boot slips your gunna fall the whole entire way down, deffently worth doign though
I went this spring it was mad fun. woulda been a lil more fun on somethin other than true centered urban condition TMs, but still a blast. I'll get some pics up in a sec
definitely worth the trip, i highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't done it... just a few suggestions: be prepared for a lot of hiking, don't go if there's a threat of bad weather, and know what you're doing... as long as you're prepared, it will be one of the best trips of your life
probably most people forgo avalanche equipment just cause its east coast, which is too bad, i know at least one man personally who died in an avy a tucks
In the winter dont even try to go up there with a group of your freinds and hike. You Will Get Lost And You Will Most Likly Die. People dont realize how large of a mountain Mt Washington is. It is ginourmous if you ever decide to go up in the winter spend a few extra bucks and hire a guide. Mark Chovan i think thats how you spell his name lead us up there a few winters back and that shit its super scary cause there is so much snow and when skiing down there are tiny markers he uses to see where to go. If you try to drop in a few hundred feet to early you will end up in tuckermans revine which is a no matter what you will most likly die hill. Only 2 people have done it in history and suvived. ANYWAY the hike only takes about an hour to an hour and a half to get to HOJO's and from there is is a half hour to get to the base of tucks.
