Ever Been Done?

I just thought of a new idea for a rail that im thinking of maybe building. It would be a flat, down, flat, up, flat rail with each segment being equal in length. It would look kinda like this:

Just wonderin if anybody has seen this type of rail.

never seen it before
in my opinion if your going to make something like that id personally rather have like a dfdf or fdfdf
