Seattle's Downtown Throwdown....went down on Nov. 19...amidst heavy rain that almost cancelled the thing. Didn't see anyone reporting this so I thought I would post it up.
Jonas Marcinko killed it and walked away with the 3 large ones.
- Erich Kunz took the Best Trick & $500 home. Check out Jonas' post and a vid at the link below

wow 3'gs for a win, that not bad at all, 500 is sick too.
So the trick that won was the 270 on switchup? That was smooth.

he didn't show, and it was gay that they took away the prize for second. also i'd have to dispute the best trick winner, coby's 3 switch up was way harder the switch lip on a fairly low rail. also, kunz litterally tried the switch on the whole time, doing nothing else, which i thought was kinda lame. marcinco did kill it, and barely edged out grant. if he wouldn't have stuck that 270 on at the last second, i'd have definitly givin it to domer who was the first to try and stick 270s on for the whole rail, and he also got the llip 270 on for the down section. all in all a good time, with the rain stoopping just in time.

Any word as to why they got rid of second place?

Kunz did try it almost the whole time, but he was also the only person who jumped on fakie, switched up and came off fakie and he did it really smooth. Coby's 360 switch up was good too, but Kunz edged him out on the style factor. Grant was going for it, but Jonas was consistantly smoother as well, making many tricks look effortless. Getting that 270 on near the end sealed his victory. For the first place, it was the overall impression and Jonas stayed on his feet a bunch. The best trick was simply that, only one trick, so it didn't matter how many times one tried to attempt it. It was still rad that Krush and the boys pulled that event off! Good times.

meh, he realized his best shot was going for best trick. And it worked out. But personally, i thought coby's 3 sw up was beautiful.

But the arms were swinging up and the landing wasn't clean. It all matters.

my overall impression is still grant, coby, jonas top 3 no specific order since its so debatable. grant and coby brought the entertainment aspect of the jam to a whole new level

just because it took Kunz 15 tries to land it and he was the only trying it doesn't make it a harder trick than a 270 on. Grant's second 270 on switchup to switch was smooth as hell and a way harder trick than a switch lip.
best trick, Grant no doubt
Jonas def did deserve the win in my eyes
and I still love you Ryan
judging is not easy
