Boston and skiing

So I will be most likely be going to school in Boston next winter. Just wondering how much this will kill my skiing career. I'm passing up Boulder and UVM to go, so I'm hoping I didn't entirely fuck my skiing over. If anyone has any info/times to VT or NH mountains/local skiing/etc it would be appreciated.

I already know lots about the handrail situation so that doesn't really need to be addressed.

3 or 4 hrs. to sunday river and probly less than that to loon

also washuset is close i thing

u can get to loon and WV in less than 2 hours, 3 for killington, 3.5 for sunday river, okemo, stratton, mt snow, and like 4.5 for stowe, 5 for the loaf

sean you either drive really slow or take the long way.  3 for killy, snow, okemo, stratton, sunday river. 3 1/2 for sugarbush.  4 for stowe.  long ass time for jay and sugarloaf.  a lil over 2 hours gets you to a few different nh mountains.

where you going to school? ive been at northeastern for 5 years and i ski as much as possible. its like 2.5 hrs to loon. Threedom pass it up.

ive gone to school in boston for a year and a half now and i really hasnt affected my skiing too much, especially if you only ski on the weekends as it is, you can also try to schedule your classes so you have fridays and mondays off so you have nice three day weekends for skiing. Last year I lived in mass so I could just take the train home and then drive up with my family, now that they live in vermont im gettin my car down here so i can drive up when i feel like, im sure there are people in your situation that you could get rides with up to the mountain if you cant get a car down in boston, cause it is a tough thing to do. word.

Yeah definitely find some friends who ski or snowboard, plan trips and stuff. Making your schedule work so you have days off is a good idea too. Next semester i have tuesdays, thursdays and fridays off it's going to rule.

hopefully gas doesnt get more expensive, boston to loon/wv a few times a week in a jeep wrangler at 15mpg gets expensive.

u could take the train to wawa daily....shits a straight little mount usually has a good park setup
