aite, dont bash on me bout my choice of skis, i just like em. anyways, i just bought them along with those salo z10 binders. now the guy at the store was instructed many times that i wanted my skis center mounted. i went back to get my skis and the guy had mounted them back with the excuse that you cant mount them center because the mount box wont allow it. is this a bunha shit or is this muthafuka keepin it real?
i dont know much about the exact construction of last years t-halls but i know the year before that the year i used to ski had boxes and they look identical to last years.

those are center...and im pretty sure they guy is bullshitting you. Im sure others have had there centered mounted before
jea, ive measured it and everything and im still kinda doubting his opinion. i want to remount them but doesnt that like hurt the skis flex and all; drilling more holes?
yea, people do it quite a bit and i think it might cause them to be a little weaker construction wise but defently go back in a talk to him about. How far back are they?pics?
i measured em really quickly to be about 5cms back. il try to get a pic but its really obvious anyways. im thinking i shud take em to the store were all the hardcore racers buy their skis cuz im sure those guys workin there can remount a ski like magic.
no way it dosent do a thing to the flex you can remounted them like 5 times and it wont hurt them iam haveing my ar5s remounted cause of the same proablem
jea, i am just gonna do it. im not super hard on my skis either, i treat those things like royalty. breakfast in bed on sundays, nude massages, o and who can forget them fuzzy rabbit slippers fer both tips...
some skis you cant. center mounting may be past the titanium plate that allows you to get the binding on, so youd be scrwin them into the ski themselve. this is highly unlikely wiht these since they are tanners ski. also it may be taht the cores center isnt the direct center. it may be back some so that would be center mounting. and those saloman bindings may get hate and all, but they are ssick choice. they are soooo light
woah inch or two back? hes giving you bull shit. and now to get it fixed would hurt the ski. and what do you mean by "the box"? tha maarkings on the side of the ski that tell you were traditional and center mounting is?
id go back and make em change em. skis can be mounted all you want. it is said that after 3 mounts the skis flex and whatnot are jeopardized, but theoretically you can mount them as much as you want.
just make sure you draw the center lines on there for him to show him exactly where you want them. it should be free as he fucked up ther first time, and he should through some free tunes and repairs at you too for the inconvience of coming back and putting unnecessary holes in your skis.
no this isnt bull its true the same happend to me they have to center them by wait if u look at the side of the ski youll notices that the bindings are on the fatest part if the ski.....
i had the same problem with my t-halls, i asked the guy to center mount them and this is what i got, and then i later went back after doing my research and asked the guy how he center mounted these, and he said he balanced them in a vice with a screw drvie, did not measure them. then i was still pissed off becuase he kept telling me they were centered, so i went to another ski shop and asked the technincian there how he center mounts skis, and he said by measuring them, so he measured mine and they were mounted 1 inch back, or 2 cms.....
t-halls arn't supposed 2 get center mounted. they are specifically designed to ride them a few cm back. now you could center them if you want, but, if they are centered they dont get the right flex
