everyone is saying about if you detune your edges then they dont crack and so i know how dynastars edges suck madly if you detuned them would the still crack or are they that bad that they will still crack

i detuned my dynastars best i could last year and the edges were destroyed after the season, missing on both sides of both skis, If you shred rails then dynastars edges will come out, but if you just hit rails lightly every once in a while they might stand a chance.....

spot on..
there is no way to prevent edge damage if you slide rails though..just minimising the risk

I've never had a problem with my dynastars, all my edges are find. I just picked up the 07 TM's with the edge reinforcement, looks pretty sick. Can't wait to try it out.

the new TM's have a reinforced plate in the center and have reinforced sides. supposedly to hold up on the rails

well put. remember though that you use the center of theski to carve soit makes it much more difficult to carve a turn outside of the park if you detune your edges.

thats pretty much it. Detuning just lowers the chance for a early edge crack, it doesnt take away the chance all together

just don't hit rails with new skis, have a pair of rail skis. disasters are what kills my edges, so harsh, but god I get excited when there is a huge disaster calling my name
