ok, so heres the scoop. i broke my skogens 3 years ago. all four tips delaminated. needless to say, it ruled. two years ago, i got pollards on warranty, the black/white ones. those too got sick and delaminated, but lucky for me, it was only three tips! so once again, they went back to line, and last year, they were ready to give me elizabeths. but as many of you will recall, lines shipping last year was far from reasonable. after way too many phone calls and "theyll be out to you soon!"s, i just said fuck it, bought a pair of scratch bc's from the rossi rep before i went out to utah, and the kind folks at line said i could either a. get skis that season or b. get credited for whatever skis i want for this season. i know elizabeths would be totally horrid for me as a pow ski, but i figured id use em to fuck around on and let my sister have em otherwise. so here we are once again, and im about to embark upon another perilous mission to get a pair of skis on warranty.
i have bc's for pow, i have pipe cleaners for park, so i figure i might as well get a gnarly fat ski for days when it dumps out east, which is PRETTY MUCH EVERY DAY! but no, im looking for something thatll be rad in low elevation, deep pow in the trees. im 6'1", 195, raced most for a good ten years, so i want something that im not gonna overpower, which seems to be a big problem with line and us more powerful folks.
bacons look sick, and im not gonna lie, since im pretty well stocked with my skis, im leaning towards them based n graphics alone. but to anyone who has skiied em, seen em, or has any legitimate information about them, whats the story? are they suuuuuper soft to the point where any legit speed is out of the question?
i know theres been plenty of threads, but it seems to be mostly kids who just want them to ski park on cos they look cool. i want a gnarly superfat that i can have fun on, ski pow switch on, rip through the trees, etc. so, gimme the skinny fellas. much appreciated.
