hey im looking at going to UVM next fall and already applied their and everything but im looking for some info that they dont tell you in the tours. Parties, weed, cops in b town. everything you can think of that i would wonder about. Is it easy to get the mountains w/out a car your freshman year? Food? What else is their to do besides ski? Freshman dorms, not the model they show you? Thanks guys!
parties are rad if you start getting to know the people who actually live in burlington. weed is as good as you want to find. cops are chill. smuggs has a bus running on the weekends starting downtown in the am and shit....dont kow about other mountains. dorms are way cool, at least the ones that i visited...they let a lot of shit slide and the rooms seemed alright compared to other schools....pretty much if you have the money to cough up for uvm and you dont have another school out west to pick from, go there...burlington is awesome.
suagrbush, jay, and stowe also have weekend buses but only one day of the weekend for bush and stowe, getting places isnt super hard, if you make the effort to get to know lots of people, naturally some will have cars. I think hennie^ pretty much covered it, but try searching and you should find a good amount of threads on uvm.
I go to UVM and Burlington is definately a dope place to live. Finding booze and nug is easy. Dorms are an awesome place, but getting written up by RA's is becoming a more serious thing on campus. There are a ton of cops lurking everywhere, but you can avoid them fairly easily. Downtown always has parties and finding one is not a problem. Definately an awesome school.
