i was asking which you like better, i have both, hence i asked if you were talking about the live or studio. though that's a great bit of input for those uneducated in the works of floyd.
my parents were very lucky and got to see the dark side concert in madison square garden, i think it may have been the first stop in the US for it. Crazy shit. Pink floyd is probly one of the few bands that people who like any type of music can listen to and like almost every song. I listen to almost all reggea an rap, one of my friends loves hardcore, and another is into country, we all love floyd..
oh yeah.. ummagumma for sure the live album.... its much better.... the studio album is realy like.. WTF... some of that stuff is fuckin crazy....
dunno i make at least one time a day where i listen to echos.... and echos live... i stil have not found fearless live.. but live in pompei is the best.. i will say.. there much a better band live then on the album
you definitely gotta hear obscured by clouds, and i think the orange cd your referring to is more, and that is pretty good, saucerful of secrets is good but not the greatest if ya know what i mean, and i had the pleasure of hearing gilmour play fat old sun live, and it was one of the greatest solos ive ever heard.
sacerful is just a good album to listin the transition(or diteration) of the syd influence. but yeah.. i just bought more.. and i fuckin love it.... look on you tube so much live shit...... careful.... with that axe eugene
Mother, Money, Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb... uhhhh i like a lot...i know it's a lot of the popular ones...but they're soooooooo amazing...oh yea goodbye blue sky is good tobut there's no way to pick a favorite
Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of the Moon are amazing, there is not a single bad song on either album- each one is amazing.
The Wall has many great songs like "comfortably numb" "mother" "young lust" and "run like hell" but I don't enjoy listening to the album to a whole as much.
But in my opinion, "Time" is possibly the best song ever. Not just by Pink Floyd, but in general. "Time" is divine.
yeah.. the wall is really weird... its a fuckin late 70 disco album... but then theres learning to fly... MOST HENIOUS floyd song of all time.. i hate listint to the classic rock radio and they play like sheep then right after they play that fuckin learning to fly song...
fuck yah man, a gay rapper.
rappers dont have guitarist,or singers that actually sing.
and there not cool enough to do lsd (me and my frends are gonna make some! lol)
just look on a music site u gay fucker.
i actually like another brick in the wall (im not a poser so fuck off lol)
lol i was reading a Guitar World interview with pink floyd
The Wall technically wasn't going to happen, the band had decided to call it quits after Darkside but got into financial issues because of their attorneys, so they came together to make another album, most of the material originated from a 90 minute demo Roger Waters had been working on lol
the band members all got pissed at each other and on completing the wall they were officially done
but now i'll stop spamming your topic
well.. your sources are fucked....... ^^6 it was on the 1977 animals tour when rojer waters spat and yelled at the crowd.. this as said by rodgers is what started him down the path to do the wall. now there was a legal issuse when it came to make the final cut. and after that album was realased the band went to court to fight over song rights. rojer got most of the songs where the rest of the band got dsm... thats why if you listin to anything live of flod after 84. its only dsm and divsion bell and delecate sound of thunder.......
dunno realy been gettin into syds stuff latley.... like see emily play... haa funny shit.. but i said before ..floyd is underrated as a live band.... can you image seeing them in 73 with zepplen and the who... i mean fuck!! id dunk my face in a vat of lsd before i went to it.... somebody make a time machine
